The Human Resources Association of Treasure Valley is pleased to announce the October Executive Program, "Workforce Development Resources for Idaho Employers" presented by Wendi Secrist, Idaho Workforce Development Council (WDC) Executive Director & Deni Hoehne, WDC Grant Review Committee Chair.  In this presentation, Wendi Secrist, Executive Director of the WDC, and Deni Hoehne, Grant Review Committee Chairperson, will share the opportunities employers have to receive grants for training new and existing employees the skills needed for businesses to succeed, and introduce the “career pathways” partnerships that employers can establish with their local school districts to promote a viable future workforce.

In this program you will learn:

1. How the Idaho Workforce Development Council coordinates a variety of resources for employers to create and train their workforce 
2. How to qualify for grants to train new and existing employees 
3. The benefits of apprenticeships for an employer and resources to establish apprenticeships.
4. Best practices for businesses to engage with education to produce skilled employees.
   

This program is valid for 1 PDC for the SHRM-CP^® or SHRM-SCP^®.
