SHIFT HAPPENS: Leading Through What’s Next

April 15, 2027 | Boise Centre | Boise, Idaho

The workplace isn't waiting for HR to catch up.

Technology is evolving. Employee expectations are changing. Organizations are rethinking how work gets done. Leaders are navigating new workforce challenges. AI is reshaping jobs and processes. Talent strategies are shifting. Compliance continues to evolve. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, HR is being asked to help organizations make sense of what's next.

Shift happens. The question is: How will we lead through it?

HRATV is now accepting speaker proposals for the 2027 HRATV Annual Conference, one of Idaho's largest gatherings of HR and business professionals.

This year's theme, Shift Happens: Leading Through What's Next, recognizes that change is no longer an occasional workplace event. It is the environment in which organizations operate. We are looking for speakers who can help HR professionals move beyond simply reacting to change and become better equipped to anticipate it, navigate it, and lead through it.

What's Your Shift?

We are seeking engaging, knowledgeable speakers who can bring fresh thinking, practical strategies, real-world experiences, and meaningful conversations to the HRATV stage.

Your session does not have to include the word "shift" in the title or be specifically about change management. The theme is intentionally broad. We want to explore the shifts happening across the HR profession and workplace and, more importantly, what HR professionals should be doing about them.

Potential topics could explore shifts in:

  • Leadership and organizational strategy

  • Talent acquisition, development, and retention

  • Total rewards and employee experience

  • AI, technology, and the future of work

  • Workplace culture and employee expectations

  • Employment law, compliance, and risk

  • Public-sector HR

  • Organizational design and workforce transformation

  • Learning, development, and succession

  • HR's evolving role as a strategic business partner

Those are only starting points. If you see a shift coming that HR professionals need to understand, we want to hear about it.

What Makes a Great HRATV Session?

Our attendees value sessions that are relevant, engaging, practical, and immediately useful. Strong proposals move beyond theory and leave participants with ideas, strategies, tools, or perspectives they can take back to their organizations.

We especially encourage proposals that challenge conventional thinking, share lessons learned from real-world experience, explore emerging workplace issues, or give attendees a new way to approach a familiar HR challenge.

HRATV educational sessions are designed for learning, not selling. Proposals centered primarily on promoting a company, product, or service will not be selected as educational sessions.

The 2027 Conference

The HRATV Annual Conference brings together 500+ HR professionals, business leaders, and workplace professionals for a full day of learning, connection, and professional development at the Boise Centre.

The 2027 program will feature:

One Opening Keynote
A 75-minute main-stage session to open the conference and set the tone for the day.

24 Breakout Sessions
Twenty-four 55-minute educational sessions offered across six conference tracks throughout the day.

Whether you are an established national speaker, a recognized subject-matter expert, an experienced HR practitioner, or someone with a powerful idea and valuable story to share, we encourage you to submit a proposal.

Don't just tell us what's changing. Help us understand what to do next.
