HRATV EXECUTIVE LUNCHEON

Invite your company executives now!

The luncheon is free for executive guests who are not HRATV members.  This is a great opportunity to educate your company executives about HRATV!

The Human Resources Association of Treasure Valley is pleased to present the March executive Luncheon program, “When “Smart” Isn’t Enough: The Hard Case for Soft Skills" presented by Jennifer Hooft, President of Higher Resource,s LLC. The rules have changed. In today’s workplace, it’s not only how intelligent we are — but how well we handle ourselves, our relationships and our conversations — that differentiates us and drives success.

Technical skills remain critical, but they are just the price of admission.  Learning to use your cognitive abilities and your emotions in thinking, behavior, and decision-making is what will truly propel you and your team to excellence.  Unleash the momentum of Emotional Intelligence in your culture and conversations and watch your “A” team’s motivation, creativity and engagement soar.

Jennifer Hooft, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, GPHR, M.Ed., is a human resources professional with 25 years of experience spanning varied industries, including technology, financial services, higher education, manufacturing, and health care.  She currently consults for small to mid-sized employers, providing expertise across a broad array of HR services.

In addition to her roles as VP of HR in the Treasure Valley, Jennifer served as State Council Director for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and President of the Human Resource Association of Treasure Valley (HRATV).  She has taught as adjunct faculty for Boise State University for more than 20 years and loves the chance to connect with early career HR pros.

Jennifer has served as President of the Board of Directors for both the Idaho Humane Society and Family Advocates and served as a board member for Silver Sage Girl Scouts. She is passionate about being an ally for underserved communities and her commitment to community service is longstanding.  She designed a mentoring program for HRATV and continues as an active mentor and supporter for other HR professionals.

The Human Resources Association of Treasure Valley is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.

The use of this seal confirms that this activity has met HR Certification Institute’s® (HRCI®) criteria for recertification credit pre-approval.

MEETING PARTNERS

REMEMBER TO BRING DONATIONS FOR THE CAN CASTLE!

HRATV will be hosting a food drive at our March Monthly Luncheon Meeting on March 21, 2019. We are helping the Boise Rescue Mission stock up their shelves for the upcoming leaner summer months. Unfortunately, this is a time when donations to the Mission slow down significantly.  At the end of our HRATV Monthly Meeting, we will build a “Can Castle Creation” out of the food that each of you, our members, have brought to the meeting. Photos will be taken of our “HRATV Architects” building the Can Castle. The pics will be posted on Facebook where Boise Rescue Mission followers will vote for the winner of the Golden Can Trophy. Let’s demonstrate our HRATV generosity and build the largest, most creative “Castle of Contributions” for the Boise Rescue Mission!

Donations of non-perishable food items, as well as hygiene products for infants and adults alike, even monetary contributions, count for this challenge. The Castles will be judged on two criteria: the amount of food collected, and the overall creativity of the castle. Judging and voting will take place on the Rescue Mission’s Facebook page from April 1st-5th.  Your help is important, and greatly appreciated. Please ask your friends and coworkers to help contribute to the HRATV Can Castle on behalf of the Boise Rescue Mission. Remember to bring those donations to the March 21st HRATV Meeting to build the most Creative and Colossal Can Castle Contribution of ALL time!!!
